Hello.

I need a bit of advise, I badly need a new graphics card.

My old 6600 GT is on its last legs, I was thinking of getting a Readon X850 XT PE to replace it, as I found one for well under the normal price. Unless someone can recommend something else between £100-180 price range.

Please between that price range, really don't want to sell out £350 for a card or something crazy

Without a doubt, the X1800XT. I found one on Ebuyer for £165.95, £195.00 including VAT. That is buy far the best price / performance IMO. Connect 3D Radeon X1800XT

You reckon you could swing to £211? OcUK have a decent BFG 7900GT OC 256MB for that price. 4th one down here:-

In most, if not all of the tests i've seen the X1800XT was faster than the 7900GT. The 7900GT produces alittle less heat, and uses less power though. The 7900GT is pretty much maxed out, and the X1800XT's have gotten decent overclocks...I would personally steer clear of 7900's right now. As the cards were maxed out factory, then overclocked more...which just adds fuel to an already unstable fire.
