Default Reinstalling windows

First: Sorry if this has been asked before, but I searched and I did not find.

Could I get verification on this (o boy I hope I was right):

I'm reinstalling my windows at home at this very moment, something went horribly wrong (you all have been there ). So I backuped some vital files, save games, etc. on a dvd. Including the gw.dat file.

If I, after reinstalling everything once again, replace the gw.dat file in the guild wars directory with the old gw.dat file, does his mean I still have all my streamed content? I do hope so.

Yeah, just slap the backed up datfile on top of the new one, and you'll have all the files again.

Interface is stored on the server, so no problems there.

Some options seem to be on server as well, some on datfile, so you should have everything as was before the reinstall.

Thanks a lot You took away all my worries about reinstalling (well besides the fact that I lost my cd with driver for my videocard, but hey that's why we have internet and google ).
