I am a ritualist and wondering what happens when I use a wand AND focus that each has 20% chance to halve casting and 20% chance to halve recharge of communing spells.

Is this non-stackable? As in I'd still have 20% chance for recharge/casting time halved? Or will they work together, giving me more of a chance to get them halved?

First off, you're in the wrong forum. This should be in Questions & Answers as this forum is for technical issues with the game, comp problems etc.

Secondly, I believe the effects from a weapon and an off-hand item are "stackable".

theres previous posts about this, but yes- 20% stuff is stackable - it ends up to be about 33% or something

Sorry, that was an accident, I thought I was in the correct forum and it is rather late here. As you can see this forum is right below the question and answers.

Savio will probably correct me (yet again), but I believe that...

If you have two 20% mods, then you have a 32% chance of getting half casting time and a 4% chance of getting one-quarter casting time.

By the way, it's impossible to get a wand that has BOTH 20% casting and 20% skill recharge on it. It's either one or the other. The focus CAN have both, however.

there are 20/20 wands. craftable from vasburg armory and the luxon equivalent i would assume, for 10k +materials.

although unless i somehow missed it, there was no 20/20 insp wand last time i looked.

Ah thanks! I would still like to know the math if it isn't too complicated (just a bit curious how guild wars works). The reason I ask is that PvP ritualists can get a wand and focus, and each have 20/20. I made a little table trying to figure it out, but I'm not sure how right or wrong it is.

By using it you have a 4/25 (16%) chance of getting it reduced to quarter, 12/25 (48%) chance of getting it reduced to half, and 9/25 (36%) chance of nothing happening, but that seems too big!
