Question tv imput

ok my computers new video card has a s-video input, and my tv does too. Can i use this like a capture card with a s-video cable? or will it just make my tv into a monitor for my computer?

If your card has an SVideo in then, with the proper programs, it should be able to capture the input from anything with an SVideo out. If your graphics card has an SVideo Out, like mine, then it could only be used to make anything with an SVideo In, like my TV or a projector, into a Monitor. If your graphics card has an In AND an Out, then lucky you

TV as second monitor rocks if your only dvd player is in your computer.
It's also kinda fun for FPSs and some other games not requiring you see little details.

i think i have an svideo in. it has nothing sticking out, just little prong holes. same with my tv
