Default GW keeps crashing and restarting my computer

i keep getting a VPU failure through ATI with GW and my computer randomly restarts when i'm playing...i have a 9600XT with up to date drivers and DirectX 9.0c what the hell is the problem ahhh!!!!

I've had the same problem, but my sollution might not help... no harm in trying though!

- go to ATI Control center and set AA to minimun (2x) and disable "let program decide" option
- restart the game and go straight to options menu (F11) and let the game decide what is best for you to run.
- reset ATI Control center as it was

I've had my problems happen after I set the options way too high...

If turning down settings helps, it MAY be heat related, as the more eye candy you have enabled, the more activity/heat that goes on. Before playing, check card temperature(if you can), and then start GW with your usual settings(not the lower ones, but what you'd normally run it in), alt-tab to desktop, and check temp again.

thanks guys, i moved my computer out of the cubby it was in on my desk, to the floor...and now it seems to be running A-OK. So it must've been heat related. Thanks so much
