<span style="font-size: 16px"><span style="color: #FF0000">This information is outdated. Do not use.If you need assistance please start a new thread.</span></span>

Hi
Seems like my video card burn out last night, so I will be force to get a new one. Its been while since I paid much attension to video cards, so unsure what is good and not good at today's machine. So, what you would recomand me to get? (budge at about $150 or lower). I don't need anything too high end or fancy, ,but need something enough for games too. My last one was Geforce 5200FX.

Also please list what I should look for, and what should I be aware of, when shoping for new graphic card. And also possiblie links to good deals.

Thxs for the help.

Just for the record it's FX5200 ^^. But with that, since u had a 5200, you have agp4x/8x.

The problem with gettin a card, is that in that price range are the 512mb, 128 bit cards. DDR ram, and GDDR2..

So, get a 6800XT, or a x1600pro. It'll run gw pretty much max settings..., but in later games, its not going to exactly wow you..

the X800GTO should be quite a bit faster. 6800XT only has 8 pipelines vs the 12 on X1800GTO. X800GTO is usually a monster overclocker too if that's your sort of thing.
