Direct X Problems
I have Direct X 9 on computer but GW is saying im runnin DX 8 is that normal?

The version of DirectX that Guild Wars runs under is determined by your graphics card and not what version you have installed.
For instance, I run under DX9 because my graphics card is fully DX9 and SM3 compliant. Yet if I were running an older Ti4400, poor example but hey, then Guild Wars would run under DX8, even though I have the latest DX9 installed. So if you have an older DX8 graphics card in your rig, then it's perfectly normal for Guild Wars to run under that version even though you have the latest installed. |
