Default what is causing my comp to lag??

iv got a medion with the following:

xp home edition series pack 2,
Intel celeron CPU 3.06GHz
448 MB RAM

i dunno wot graphick card is but this is what it says in book,
high performance accerlleration
interactive direct3d accerleration
video accerleration for directdraw/video, mpeg-2, mpeg-2, dvd and indeo video technology,
acpi power manegment

i got told its the procesesor thats the problem, just meking sure it is, if so would
any other procecors fit my mother board or will i have to buy a new motherboard a well??

Click Start, Click Run, type in "dxdiag" and press enter. Click on the "Display" tab and look under the "Device" part of the window. Now, tell us what it says under "Name:". That is the name of your video card.

try www.srtest.com and select Guild Wars (or factions if you have it). It should show you if you have anything under minimum/recommend requirements.

Well if your system is saying 448 MB RAM, (512 - 64 =448), then your using an intel shared mem graphics card (most likely). It's not the cpu, but the card that will give you frame rate lag/low speeds. you have the bottom of the barrel video... Depending on what slot you have available will dictate if you can upgrade your video card. PCI/AGP/PCI-e. Post your model number and I'm sure someone can look up the specs, if you can't figure it out.
