Hey, I'm trying to connect my laptop to the T.V. to play Guild Wars, since you all know its been done before. But when I plug in the red, yellow, and white plugs to the T.V. and that particular wire to the laptop only the volume comes up onto the T.V....Any suggestions? Or help...

Which video output are you connecting from the laptop to the TV? What TV signal type do you have, NTSC or PAL?

first, is it plugged into the headphone jack? the jack is the same size as a vid/L/R jack, but lacks the video

i assume you are using the thing used a lot on cameras? 1 small jack to 3 red white yellow?

Even if you connect the RCA cables correctly, your TV won't be able to display the image unless you lower laptop's resolution to a setting the TV can handle...
