Code=005 since last nights update.....
Still getting code = 005 after last nights update and cannot connect to GuildWars.com. Im in the Los Angeles area. What can i do?

Rename gw.dat file c:\program files\guildwars\gw.dat
Launch GuildWars it re-download enough of the client so you can connect / login in and see if it works now. If it can.. then the update corrupted your older gw.dat file and you have to let it re-install the game. If it doesn't (same error), delete the incompelete gw.dat file and restore your orginal 2+ gb version dat file and let us know, it will be a different issue. ty for ur response...
i did what u suggested but its still giving me code=005. i've restored my original gw.dat file. im able to log in all the way to where u select the characters. when i load a character, it takes me to the connect page and stays there for a few minutes. after a few minutes the error code will pop up. this started right after i loaded the new build. apparently, ppl had same problems but got fixed last night. ty for listening and let me know what u think and if there are others that have the same issues. |
