Default mic problem

hi all i have a mic and its not working on my pc, i knoe it works cause i can record stuff on my ipod..


anywho

im pretty sure all my settings are correct, anything else i can do?

Not that nuch information, so I'll advise as best I can.

Best way to do tests is Open Windows Sound Recorder.

Press the record button and see if the program is picking up any sound (you see moving wave lines).

If not check you sound settings to make sure the mic is turned on in windows.

As by default the mic is often muted.

And of course make sure you mic is plugged into the correct hole on the back of your sound card.
