Very Cool Windows Vistia / Guild Wars Trick
As of the pre-RC1 build of Windows Vistia, (ver 5536) Guild Wars shows up in the "Games" Folder.
Click on the Orb, choose game in the right hand side column. It will also then down load the cover box art in the right hand side. You can click on the icon to launch the game. Here is the neat trick, rich click on the icon and choose "Customize" You will then be able to customize the right click menu. You get a new dialog box and you can create alternate short cuts. Great for adding switches - http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=94814 So you can click on the icon and launch the game or right click and choose things like the image switch to force update the game, or the diag to create a diagnostics / troubleshooting file that you can send to tech support. All from a right click option. I will add screen shots latter. |
