This is one of my personal favorites as far as errors go with Guild Wars. I have no lag to speak of, no error codes, actually I have good luck. But this happened once before.... I got caught under the bridge in the undercity. Maybe a self kill button so we can at least go to the nearest rez point and not lose our progress

. As you can see, I wasn't playing too well anyway, but my target was really close!

Carry a Vampiric weapon, so you can kill yourself.

Unfortunately carrying the vampiric weapon is the only option.

If you don't mind, I'll use your screenshot in my compilation of images of people stuck in steps/bridges. I wont use it unless I get permission, and ofcourse as default your name will be erased.

Edit: Ignore the above paragraph, it seems I forgot to take out the screenshots in mention before I cleared the folder of junk ones...

The top-level GvG'ers have dealt with this problem by buying 15% -1 health regeneration weapons and adding vamp mods, which makes the process about 5% faster....it's the only option we have at the moment. Unless you're a necromancer and happen to have several life-sac skills....

so there is no way out? My husband has had this happen 2 times with his characters once in the archepelegoes near the jade quarry (the bridge over the spikey coral) and again in arborstone.....neither time was he able to extract himself, the first time I just ran into the town (since it was where we were headed anyways), and the second time we (the henchies and I) just left him there until we finished the quest I was doing.......is anet aware of these bridge glitches???? (and sorry no screen shots.....you wouldnt see much from my view point other than a name and the bridge with no toon).

This reminds me of one area in Pre-Searing's Catacombs. In a dead-end chamber with several gargoyles, when crossing over the metal bridge, there's a chance you walk through it and into the pit below. But you can get out of it!

Another time, in Pre-Searing, I got stuck in a bush just outside Fort Ranik. XD
