Smile Can i get help with a problem?

This is a tough one. I was playing GW and the screen suddenly was striped and frozen. After a few seconds the screen slowly went black. I took the battery out and let my laptop cool down. I tried it again and it worked. In about a week, the same thing happened but i couldn't get on my computer unless i was in safe mode and i cant go online in safe mode.

Thanks, Nintenosal

yeah thats is a tuffy, you said you took out the battery? so im assuming this is a laptop.
my dads laptop dose the same thing, it just freezes and shuts off. and I dont know to much about laptops as much as a i know about desktop pc's
well if you give me a list of your laptop specs ill try to find out whats doing it.
like what make and model. procsses that are running.
my guess is a foulty battery is overheating the laptop wich makes it go into safe mode. but i really dont know.

fyi if its one of the laptops that explode retrun it and get a new one ^^

EDIT: few more mins after i posted, try doing a system restore to an earlyer point and time when it didnt do this if it contunes its defantly a battery or hardware issue if not then there was most a error. hope this helps

Laptops are often plagued by heat issues. When you cram that much high-ende stuff into such a little space, you always have to battle heat.

Try getting a laptop cooling pad. And when you are in safe mode, try doing a drive scan. Because of the heat, they are also prone to premature hard drive failure. That can cause the other problems you are having. If that does not help, try a reload of Windows.
