alright i got a question and kinda a comment alright the past few days ive been gettin error 7 more and more and yesterday i had a record i had error 7 18 times in 2 hours i couldnt belive it i got kicked out in UW, FoW, Missions, Trading with ppl jsut about everything i was sooo pissed so i have a question if theres ne thing at all to try to slow down error 7 if theres ne thing at all u guys thing would work plz tell me and it would be greatly appreciated thanks alot

I've had a few myself. I spent six hours this afternoon, totally unable to play and had alot of time offline yesterday too.
I couldn't do anything on my end to help (but i tried) so i figured it was server side. International districts were the same too.

Eventually, the lag and disconnections ceased and i have had a few hours of uninterrupted play thankfully.

I think it's just bad luck during all this PvP frenzy, tekkies tweaking things etc.

Clean your drive of junk, reboot your net connection, scan for nasties as usual and make sure your drivers are in order...apart from that, keep your fingers crossed.

Well, which server are you on? If a large group of people from a specific region is having the same trouble, then it's probably serverside lag.

If this isn't the case (Which I would guess it's not, because you mentioned underworld access), then (after doing all of the above suggestions) check the status of your firewall and/or port triggering on your router. I had mucho trouble before with err=7, and the problem was that I was running on an unstable router connection that would occasionally reset the ports.

Yep, got bad lag a few mins ago and was unable to attack. Everyone was complaining then so I know it wasnt me. I exited the game and restarted now its repairing the archive. Im a bit ticked about that one.

Ya, I have never had this error before tonight. It just happened about 10minutes ago. And now everytime I try to log on I get err 7. Any ideas?

I just got really bad lag. I believe this is a serverside problem at this point.

I did not get any error code, but I just experienced a LAG from Hell and now I can't get into the game. Actually, none of my Guild can log in either, but we are all on Vent complaining

At least its not just me who cant log in

Maybe this will prompt Anet to address the issue which has made US servers largely unplayable for what is now going into the 4th day.

I honestly hadn't had a problem until now, but when I did get it... wow... I rubberbanded every time I moved, couldn't send messages for about 5 minutes, and couldn't connect to any areas.

Things are ok for me.. for now.

usually the problm is that you have too many programs running in the background. press alt+ctrl+del to bring up the task manager. try ending every program running.

this always does the trick for me.

I'm also getting error-7's .... more and more lately actually...I used to get only those rubber banding effect from time to time; never err-7.. unless I unplug my cat5 cable.

I live in a campus with a ridiculously fast internet connection ~
but the game is unplayable here. Error7 every 5 minutes or so. Went 55 monking... a couple of aataxes down ~ ecto drop ~ err-7.
Play HA, a couple rounds into it, err-7. Trading in kaineng d1, talking with costumer ~ err-7...

F**K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I checked our router, even as far as talking to our admins. It wasn't our fault, I'm loading 15-20 minute videos from youtube within 15 seconds... So F**K GW SERVERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just quit playing.

Nothing you can do anymore, ppl have been complaining for about a month now and all Anet do is blame someone else or have you waste your time pulling your home network to bits.

I've completed virtually all of the PvE areas and the elite missions are now dead. I'm thinking that the Err7s are atleast part responcible because ppl just dont want to waste their time.

If they finally decide to pay some programmers to develop the reconnect feature i might actually buy Nightfall, if not i'm not touching it.

I played or rather attempted to play today but the lag spikes followed by err7s was just ridiculous. It was posted on a previous thread that ANet was aware of a problem and was addressing it but it seems like its just getting worse. Forget about playing on weekends, its just about impossible. I've tried most of the remedies in the sticky thread short of ripping my home network apart and nothing has worked. All this really leads to one thing - Nightfall will stay on the store's shelf as far as I'm concerned.

Maybe they'll add a new service to the online shop where you can pay some money to get an err=7 free service.

I rarely get err=7s so I guess I'm lucky. Most error 7s happen in Heroe's Ascent and International Districts (anywhere in the game).
