Default Lightning Bolt in GW

Hi,

Just a question or two about this. Up until a few weeks ago, when my Guild Wars was downloading, etc the numbers of how much it was downloading would appear next to the yellow lightning bolt. Now it doesn't, and up until this time I've never lagged, but since I have been hit with such major lag.

So 1) How do I get the numbers back?
2) Is this why I am lagging?

1) What numbers

2) What do you mean by this

Also, if GW is downloading, that Bolt thing would ALWAYS apper, even when your computer is decompressing it would apper. It could also be the server itself. Also cheak your hardwear, your router might cause some problems, or if your running anything in the background that eats alot of resources.

If your absolutely unsure, go safe mode and do a virus cheak

The numbers that stated how much was being downloaded, whether it was 1MB or less or more.

Don't worry about 2. -smiles-

The numbers simply show how much was/is being downloaded, you answered that yourself. If you mean the numbers your computer is showing, no, simple download numbers won't cause much lag. If you mean the files being downloaded, then it will cause some lag because downloading uses the internet, and hogs your bandwith, and thus eating up the bandwith that could have been used to run GW.

I know the numbers show how much is being downloaded, what I'm trying to say is that they no longer show numbers. I only get the lightning bolt and nothing more. And was wondering how I get it to show the numbers again, or if this is how it is now.

The lightning bolt represets a connection to the update server, unless you need to d/l an update it's not going to display any numbers. It's normal for the bolt to be up there for a limited duration.

The numbers will only show during very large downloads like just before a new game is released.
