Default My accounts gone?

Yes I know I'm a noob, but wow I'm shocked.

I got Guild Wars about a week ago (factions yesterday), and I have to admit I am crazily addicted to it. I just hit lvl 19 on my main character, and I was looking forward to get to 20 all day at school. Well I tried to log into my Guild Wars account today and it said "email adress not found." I tried repeatedly to see if maybe I typed the adress wrong, or to see if my password had been wrong. Nothing. So I exited it, went over to gmail.com, and tried to log in. And wow, it says "Your name and password don't match." I was like WTF? So I tried to retrieve my account and it says "account not found." What the hell is going on?

If anybody can help me, in the slightest way, i'd greatly appreciate it. I just forked over 50 bucks for Factions and I just registered the key to that account, so I hope its not lost.

Yeah try the Caps lock key first and if that doesn't work try these two steps.

First try reinstalling the client from the GW site and if that doesn't work call them with your account key for both Prophecies and factions. Have them give you your password and account again. You will have to give them all your information that you put in when you registered so have that ready if the reinstalling doesn't work.
I had a similiar problem last week and come to find out it was one of the updates conflicting with my settings on my video card (had to update that).

I'd like to add on to cannonfodder's reply, as I felt it didn't help you much.

It sounds to me like your account was stolen, or "hacked" as some may call it. While we can't directly help you recover it here, we can offer advice and a little detail on what to expect while recovering it.

If you go to http://support.guildwars.com/ and click on the proper region, then click on "Ask a Question" once the page loads, you can send a support ticket in with your problem. Include all relevant details to save back and forth e-mailing.

Tell them you believe your account was stolen, and provide details related to your account. It is HIGHLY likely that they will ask you for your CD Key. Give this to them (when they ask, don't offer it in your initial ticket), it will help them verify that you are the true owner of the account. After they've done a little checking, you should get your account back.

Also, since your gmail account seems to have been taken as well (if the password was the same, it's likely it was - use different passwords for everything as a precaution), ask them if they can reset your e-mail address to a new one, and explain to them that your current one was taken and you no longer have access to it due to this.

If all goes well, which it normally does when dealing with Anet support, you'll have your account back in under 2 business days.
