Unhappy Mini Map / Mission Map issues

Since the update that keeps your mini/mission map displayed from one area to the next, it frequently shows up very zoomed in. So much so, that it is absolutely useless. The dots that show the path you've taken are like 4x zoom (same zoom as the compass).
Is there a problem with my game or is it with a-net? This glitch is crippling. Especially in alliance battles when you need to see where the next cap point is. Hmm.

Suggestions please to correct this
