i was so unlucky that the disk with guild wars on crashed.. /luckily it was no the system disk, so i just have to reinstall it..)
and bought my game thru plaync store, so i have to dl all the 3gb..
well, 3 gb isnt usualy any problem for me since i have a 4000/612 dsl line, but its dl so extremly slow. i only get 5-30 kb dl speed.. im used to 4-500 normaly when i dl somthing from a http server. im playing on europe server. is there anyplace to dl the whole dat file with the latest updates from a http or torrent source??

It might be possible to get a jump start. If you happened to get the Nightfall Pre-release pack, it has the client on the disk.

This may not help, however. I tried the same thing when Factions was coming out. I installed the client from the CD but then ended up downloaded over 1GB. So, the client on the CD might be the minimal necessary.

Is your DSL speed issue only for GW or are you having general speed issues with it?

sadly i dont have any cds with guild wars on and i never got the prepack from http://www.game.co.uk... (im from norway and no stores sell se nf here) .
dsl speed is only gw.
i did a speed test and i got 2892 kbs leftover even when the client dl in the backgpund..)
now i see the speed sometimes go up in around 90kbs but drops again...is the euro servers rly that bad??

ok... now i have dl base files.. now when im entering a new place im up in 100-150 kb.. its ok,... but still to slow ...

If you alter the guildwars shortcut by adding "c:\program files\guildwars\gw.exe" to "c:\program files\guildwars\gw.exe" -image

It will cause the entire game to download. You have to remove the -image in order to launch guildwars.

btw, have you all go tthe prepack? i ordered the collectors edition with prepack but never got it..

For the record, I don't believe that any guild wars release after prophesies had the FULL client. The rest are just the downloader. GW isn't exactly 56k friendly anymore.
