Default Strange crash

I recently started having an odd crash when I zone.

After the loading bar hits 100% for a new zone, and the screen would normaly go away, the picture "scrambles", hard to describe.. It's as if the screen were an etch-e-sketch and it got shaken untill all you see is a blurr of streaky lines.

This seems to happen randomly, about 10% of the time when I zone. Doesn't seem to be related to heat, I've had it happen when I'm running cool and hot both (sometimes it's the first zone I take, sometimes the 20th).

When it happens my computer still functions, the game is running, I just can't see it. I can alt tab, but the display is still scrambled. I retain full control, just no display.

The most recent change I've made is a new monitor. Samsung 225bw running at 1680x1050 over DVI, I was previously using VGA. I've updated drivers for both my video card (gforce 7800 GT).

This only happens in guild wars, other games don't seem to cause this.

Oh, and incase it matters, I've tried with v-sync on and off and it does the same thing.

Try setting your refresh rate to 60 Hz if it's not already.

It's at 60, that's also the native refresh for my monitor.

Try your VGA cable with the LCD.
