The last few weeks i have a weird problem with my chatwindow... it doesnt always happen and tbh i am not sure why/when it happens. Last time i helped someone answering his questions via PM. When done, i just switched back to "all" and i was looking at the chats and trades and slowly the last few lines went up, leaving the bottompart of the chatwindow unused (please see picture)... within a minute or so more than half of my chatwindow is empty (last chat is midway).

Tbh i think this is a gw bug (probably the number of lines of the chat not calculated correctly), but then i wonder why i cant find more about this problem (i did use the searchfunction before i wrote this thread, but i didnt find anything

same happens to me from time to time when i trade ( i switch chat on and off a lot.). If you make all chats visible it fixes itself, but reoccurs once you switch one of them off. Only real "fix" is to relogg. ;|

Yep, it blows. Happens all the time, can't see any local or trade chat unless I scroll, very difficult in LA or KC, and as stated above, only way it seems is to relog.

That only helps temporary... same as re-logging. I was hoping for a permanent fix, but i see i am not the only player with this problem (which confirms that this is another bug

Did you change your interface size at all? I've noticed that the bug appears if you set your interface size to "small". You can easily replicate it by idling in a chat heavy district for more than 5-7 minutes. It'll fix itself if you set it to "normal" again. I'm not sure about the larger settings, though.

Yes my interface is set to "small". I can try to put it back to "normal" but i hate it when i have to change my hud again because anet doesnt fix their bugs

Hopefully anet finds some time to fix the bug before finishing chapter 10

Same here,
I play full screen, small letter size, en I made the chat window slightly wider.
Always happens in big cities where's theres a lot of trading going on.
Been like that for over a year now I think.
