I haven't been on since before the weekend. I just came on today and HFS! I can't believe the lag spikes and the disconnects. I probably won't be able to even play until it is fixed.

And no it isn't just the east coast, unless you are referring to the east coast of AUSTRALIA!

I'm on the European servers as well.

This definitely needs to be fixed. Don't be like Sony please. Just let us know you are looking into the issue and most of us will be happy.

Actually, I have several accounts here connecting at the same time and that is not causing any problems. However I did find that my lag issues are only when I am somewhere in the factions world playing prophcies missions I do not have a problem and nobody in this house does.

I'm sad to report that I'm in the same boat, and have been for a couple of weeks now.

I am effectively prohibited from joining groups with other people, because I am guaranteed to Err=07 before we complete any objective other than killing Shiro. It's a given at this point.

never gotten an er7
but i was in uw with an alliance member playing an SS, i was a 55. we cleared the first room, went to the smites, killed all of them and was working our way to the last couple groups of smites when suddenly he died and i was blocked by 3 smites against a rock. i noticed i started lagging a bit then i broke free from the body block and headed towards a chest in the open. but i was still taking damage from the smites even though they still appeared to be by the same rock they were attacking me at. i made my way to the chest to open it but i got no dialogue while attempting to open it. nothing. i tried several times and still nothing. i ran back to the smites, then back to the chest. still couldnt open it and was still taking dmg. he could also see i was taking damage and no smites were on me. therefore i died and never got in the chest.

Same problem for me -- bad connection the past 5 days or so with lots of err7s.

I live on the east coast of the US and my friend on the west coast does not have this problem. It may be a router somewhere. The only other difference I can think of is that I'm running ZoneAlarm.

Started getting a number of err =7, and the occassional Code = 58 error lately; never got them before. Nothing worse than when you're solo farming, and you're about to kill a boss, then seeing your char freeze, stand there for a minute, then watch yourself get logged out...

East coast and midwest seem to be hardest hit, I am in Ohio. Very severe lagout problems, char freezing for extended periods, lots of error 7's.

Today in Fort Aspenwood, many players were experiencing the severe lag and error 7's. But other players were experiencing no lag at all.

This makes me think the problem is not in ANet's internal network but rather an upstream ISP problem. I mean ANet's ISP.

I also lagging out every 30 mins now and Err7ing.

US servers.

My connection is otherwise impeccable and clearly with so many people have the same problem recently it's not a client side issue.

I recently started playing GW since i heard of Nightfall and the only thing i am certain of is i WONT be buying NF untill i am absoloutly certain the poor server network is fixed.

The fact ANet make no public acknowledgment of the problem is pretty sad. If you run a large network where people are having problems you HAVE to be getting as much information to your customers as possible else they dont think it's going to be fixed and go play another game, which i have done on several occasions since the servers are dropping me.

Where a mission lasts 1-2hours and you drop at the very end, ignorance is not an option.

I was trying to Monk Nahpui Quarter last night when my Lag hit. About 5 to 10 min of rubber banding....and no err7 I had to shut guild wars down to get back to a town.....and of course I'm being called a NOOB!!!!

I like to do missions over and over again just to waste 30 min of my time to stop healing and have everyone die.....yep thats what I do...

" Your not lagging, I see you your just running back and forth!!!"

no ------ stupid its called lag.....

I found the support site and sent them an email detailing the problem. I also found the FAQs. One asked if I had a router connected which I do. It recommended running the game without the router.

Since removing the router from the path - NO Lag issues. I am curious as to how many people with lag spikes have a router connected. Try disconnecting it while gaming.

The Deep(Room 1) - 29th Aug 2007 3:41pm GMT
Severe lag, everything freezes for 20+ seconds. Lag subsided to see 3ppl have Err7ed out, rest of my room is dead. Result, party disbanded and restart.

GW was unplayable last night. Every few minutes 2-3 people in the party woudl be disconnected, simultaneously. At one point when we were forming up in Naphui Quarter, six of the eight members of the party were simultaneously disconnected from GW. Several members of the party ran the -diag and it showed that despite living in North America (one person not very far from Anet headquarters) they were being routed through Germany.

The third attempt at NQ when 3 people got simultaneously disco'd we just gave up and logged off GW for the night.

Yeps, also happening to me and my roommate. GW was very peaceful before, everything was running properly and we never errored or lagged out. Now, in about 1 hour, we probably lag and error out about 20 times combined.

I can't believe the FAQ is telling people to play without a router. I understand if one would use a straight Modem connection for troubleshooting, but to tell us players to bypass the Router instead of fixing the problem, that is just lame. This bypassing of the router might be a good idea for people who have 1 computer and their Modem is right next to their computer, but many are using wireless routers and have multiple computers.

Also, this reply is not directed to Cargo at any way, just towards ANET and their ongoing problem with lagging/erroring. I thought they said the server change that they did a while back suppose to help these types of problems?

In any case, is pretty sad when I run into a mob with 10 minions then a lag spike hit and I end up with no minions and having no Golem corpse. Thanks.

If you've just installed a router and then you suddenly have problems, sure it might be your router.

If you've played for a long time with a router and had no problems, have no problems with ANY other MP game and many other people with random configurations are all having Err7 and lag spike problems, it's pretty obvious that something else is wrong here.

I logged off earlier, came back on and within 5 seconds i had a 15 second lag spike.

I get the err 7 and big lag spikes if i play for too long....i hit the 2 hour mark yesterday and i got disconnected. And sometimes when i get these lag spikes i exit GW and try to come back inbut it takes forever to login, and sometimes it freezes for a while in the charater screen. This is strange. o.O
