Default GW crashes at Log-in screen

When factoisn released i started having this problem. Id enter my info and hit enter and my comp would just freeze. It would normally happen after adn update or me loading counter strike. And it cooled down but with nightfall its started up again. What am i doing wrong? I'm thinking my ram isnt emptying from the previous version of GW. I have 764megs of RAM btw.

Thx,
Drax

That should be enough, I only have 512 MB
Are you using an onboard GFX card? because they drain system RAM.
Also, possibly your GW.dat file is very fragmented. try this thread: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10037429

Several things can cause this. Try defragmenting your hard drive where Guild Wars is installed. Another is instead of going from one game to another right away give your computer a couple minutes to refresh the ram or in extreme cases reboot. With onboard graphics I would recommend that you upgrade your ram to 1 gig, a cheep and easy way to get more speed. Also download and run MEMtest, that will test your ram to make sure that is good (use this if you think that your ram might be failing).

Good Luck
