First in-game load after computer is idle or shutdown.
Although this is more of an annoyance than a problem, the first in-game load (to a town) is always a killer for my computer if the computer has been idle or shutdown. It takes nearly 5 minutes to load into a town, and the computer useage is at 100%. It doesn't matter if the graphics are to the lowest or the highest. But after the first load, I usually average around a 40-60 second load-in for towns. Does this happen to anyone else?

Happens to me. Every time.
EDIT: I should probably add that my pc is pretty fast (3Gp4, 1G corsair ram, ati radeon 9800 xt) and that no other games give me this sort of problem. Last edited by wilderness; Nov 17, 2006 at 05:31 PM // 17:31.. |
