I should put my system specs in my signature, but this is an interesting thread, indeed!

AMD Athlon XP 3000+
Asus A7v600-X mainboard
SoundBlaster Audigy 2
ATI All in Wonder 9800 Pro
1GB Kingston RAM PC400
120GB Maxtor HD
60GB Maxtor HD
DVD/R+RW
CD/R+RW
Thermaltake 500W power supply

But the best part of my system isn't in the case - I have a 20" flat panel Sharp Aquos HDTV for a monitor. It's pretty...

3 yr old Dell Inspiron 2600 Laptop
1.06Ghz P3(?)
upgraded to 512Mb RAM
Intel Graphics controller - nonupgradeable

*light of my life*
With a Microsoft Trackball Explorer

system runs on lowest graphics setting possible, but still 2x Anti-A

Of course, when I can kick the wife off her own comp, I play on:
3+ Ghz, 512 Mb RAM, GeForce 4 Dell Desktop.

Computer requirements for Gaming have officially fallen behind the 3D CAD requirements. Look'em up for SolidWorks 2005 Hard to get a CAD comp for home anymore

Just upgraded recently...

Athlon 64 3200+ @ 2.01 ghz
1 gig Corsair XMS Dual Channel DDR 3200 @ 2.5/3/3/6
MSI Neo4 Platinum SLI Motherboard (Nforce 4 chipset)
MSI Geforce 6800 @ 400/701 (possible SLI coming soon)
SB Live! 24-bit onboard sound (gotta love the Neo4 Platinum)
160 gig Maxtor IDE Hard Drive 7200 rpm (8 mb buffer)

This runs the game silky smooth at 4x Anti-Aliasing, 4x Anisotropic Filtering @ 1184x864 res, except for big towns like LA(dist1) and Ascalon(dist1) where there's a little bit of lag.

Some really nice systems posted here. My spiffy little box was on it's way to the cemetary. I noticed that it was getting a little louder after running a while. So I figured it was time to take it apart and clean out the dust. No easy feat since it is a real pain in the buttocks to unhook everything.

I took it out in the breeze way opened it up and was shocked at how much dust and fuzz was built up inside. I just cleaned it 6 months ago. I also have a nice little set of vacuum tools designed for computers. I had to use every last one of them to get all the dirt out of this thing. I took out all the cards, Ram chips, pulled the hard drives. My fan on my ATI 9800 pro was a real challenge. It was still working but the dust was almost cemented in the fins.

Since I did this yesterday my little box is running real quiet and I am sure it is running much cooler as well.
