Nobody cares about what generalizations you people maybe have? That doesnt really make sense, but what ever. First of all I really don't know why you are getting so invloved and why you care so much. You seem to concern yourself an awful lot about somebody you've never met and if about their computer specs. I have no use to talk to you; I don't need to prove anything. I'm done arguing with you, there is no point in bickering over the internet.

What generalizations? I tested my system on Sandra. My 2.42Ghz performs on par with 3.6Ghz P4 processors. I got the numbers to prove it.

Always test your machine with more than 1 test bed... If you come up with the same results then your all good... If not then your seen things and the program is biased....

Okay then give me some other test beds then. Results are still gonna be close to what I've got. But I play along.

As in you and funbun. You're a couple of "people" are you not? Or would you like me to call you "users"?

And of course I concern myself with your post. If I post that my "FX-55" runs at "4.5" I'm obviously just trying to show off by confusing people. I'm saying quit trying to show off because you're on the net. You're supposed to post your specs here, not your general opinion on the systems power. I didn't ask you to argue with me, I proved you wrong. Done and done.

And it is a generalization. According to a particular test you win? There are still a few multitasking benchmarks to look at, and tons of other tests and things to take into account.

Mine runs well, and it will allow for plenty of buffer time before I need to upgrade. That's all that I care about.

Now, now. You all know what they say about arguing on the internet...

Just kidding, have at it! Anyway back on topic:

Athlon 64 3000 @ 2.025ghz
Chaintech VNF4 Ultra
ATI x800 XL @ 425/525
1GB KingMax PC3700
80GB Seagate SATA drive w/ NCQ
Old leftover 60GB Maxtor drive
NEC ND-3500 DVD+RW DL
Silverstone Lascala LC03 htpc case (black)

A pretty modest o'c on the CPU,but I haven't really tried to push it yet. The video card, on the other hand, is about as good as its going to get. Hopefully I can add an ATI Silencer 5 and eek out a little more (and quiet things down a bit more).

You still haven't proved me wrong, I'm still waiting for you to actually physically prove that ever single 3500+ card in the entire world cannot be OC'd to 3.8. Obviously you are generalizing, and you obviously aren't taking into consideration that I am a proffesional, and I have years of experiece using computer hardware and software.

Edit: Please don't respond to my post, for there is no way that you can prove me wrong, unless you come to my house in person and look through my computer. As I said before and as someone said before me, aruguing over the internet is pointless as there is no winner. Done and done.

Are you mad? I don't seriously need to go over why you can't overclock the 2.2GHz NewCastle/Winchester core AMD64 3500+ to 3.8GHz do I?

I don't care what you say, you seem to misunderstand. I "ended" the argument with the very same words you did a few posts back, but you insisted. Now you're choosing to back out because you're completely insane?

OK then, I see you don't know what you're talking about. Please stop spamming this thread with your useless posts so that other people don't need to read them. They're nearly void of readable content, let alone something that is useful to the reader.

And I'm just like you LunarBunny. As long as the system runs the games I play, I really don't care. I'll upgrade when prices drop.

Go to this site get the program and then post your sys specs. Do a copy and paste.

IE: it will tell us what you are really running.

Just like my first post on page 1.
