Angry mapping screen load times

hi there.

After installing my new graphics card a radeon x700 512 megs (don't laugh it's better than my x200 i was using) the delay in mapping between maps seems to take ten seconds compared to the old 2-3 seconds before installation. Does anyone have a clue as to what the heck the issue might be?

If you need better information from me let me know please.

Already installed DirectX9.0c ?
Or maybe some extra drivers the card might need?
Else I wouldn't know it :x

Try un-installing and re-install Ati video card drivers.

I will check on the direct x version if it turns out that it isn't 9c I will upgrade it. if that still doesn't work I will redo the ati drivers. I will apprise those of you who want to know what happens.

By the way the issues is only between maps otherwise it all works fine.

Not sure if it is the same problem, but i *think* i had a similar problem (especially after updates)... i turned out to be a small tool called refreshlock that was causing my problem (this tools controls the refreshrate). I need it for many other games but when i close it for GW then this problem goes away...

Seems like it is ATI's Catalyst software; once I removed it and left the driver installed the time issue stop.
