Default Need help installing

Okay, so I did try doing a search (But this formum site tells me I don't have permission to do that - but I can post - explain that!) So sorry if I'm wasting anyone's time here.

I select "install guildwars" and it pops up a small window that says 'guild wars' and "connecting to arenanet with progress bar under it. The bar gets pretty well across the window and freezes, as if it isn't connecting to squat - yet here I am, posting this while it sits. I've tried this a few times now. I have a linksys router, a cable modem - so a nice fat pipe. I'm running a very respectable machine (oblivion runs just dandy) so I'm stumped.

Feel free to email me at [email protected] with any suggestions

THANKS!!!

It could be possible that your router/firewall protection is/are blocking the port through which Guild Wars connects. Forward TCP ports 6112 and 80. Also, add GW.exe and/or GWSetup.exe to your exceptions list if necessary.
