Curse

Hi everyone (happy Christmas-Eve and my birthday). I just recently wanted to get back into Guild Wars, so upon installing and getting ready to play, I input my login name/password. About 1-2 seconds later I get this msg:

"A serious error has occurred that prevents the program from continuing to run; however your help can help prevent this error from occurring in the future by reporting the error to ArenaNet. Please press the send button to report this error."

So I press send and such.

I have the updated Nvidia drivers, and all other drivers. I have an AMD Opteron 148, Nvidia 7800GTX, 1.5gb of ram.

Try to delete the game and then reinstall it. There has been corrupted data in the client a while back.

Deleted and reinstalled, same thing.

Doubt it has to do with the hardware, cus I play on a Pentium 4 with 480 MB of RAM and an onboard videocard. I'd advice to go through some steps which I've posted here: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10090907
Although I think it more likely has got something to do woth the connection or so. Have you tried sending an actual support ticket to NCSoft with that log? And by that I mean via the support site.

Also, when I startup Guild Wars, it says Guild Wars Nightfall (which I don't have)
Should I be seeing the original GW screen or what?

I have done most the things you said in that thread, Njaiguni, but to no avail. I will try it out on my other gaming computer later tonight and see if I get the same response.

It says Guild Wars Nightfall on every login screen, regardless the fact you have Nightfall or not. I'd send a support ticket to NCSoft.

I'm a guy and the name was of a sin who I deleted ^^
