Yes I know I just recently made a thread about this, But I recently found another computer which I am interested in.

I play games such as WoW, Guild Wars, CSS, and BF2.

I don't know very much about computers, I dont know which of these 2 is better.

none of these are very powerful, you should minimally have a dual core processor, pentium 4's and anthlon 64's are out dated now. looking at the prices that you have on the computer choices your best bet is going with a brand name computer like dell or gateway but if your willing to dish out another 500-1,000 bucks(1500+) then i like the widow pcs and they tend to get very good reviews. www.widowpc.com

I'm not spending any higher than $800AUD.

Oh and if i read correctly, computer 1 has a duel core processor.

The first one is the best of them, by far. Don't even consider the third option on your list as the person who wrote that add has no idea what (s)he is talking about (i.e. AMD 64 3000+ IS NOT a 3GHz processor (it runs at 1.8 like in the system specs screen)) Only thing you should find out before hand is more information on the RAM in computer 1, speed and if its DDR2 or not.

Its just regular DDR, would that still make it the best?

Actually if you read it the seller states that it out performs a 3GHz Pentium4 not that the AMD is 3GHz. That I can easily believe as my Athlon64 3200+ 'Venice' easily outperforms 3.4GHz Pentium4's in benchmarks.

Replying to some of these people, get what you can afford . I have a post here on older technology that you should read and it is worth a look. Dual core cpu's although can outperform a single core cpu are at the moment rather expensive and most of us cannot afford them. So it is best to look around and find out as much as you can about what is affordable. Then upgrade as time and money allow.

The Duel-Core computer is only $40AUD more expensive then the others, so I guess I'll go with that, thanks.

Seriously, dual core CPUs are not massively better like they seem to be made out to be. Check out some benchmarks of single and dual core CPUs that are rated at the same "speed". Their performances will often times surprise you...unless things have changes massively in the last 6 months.

Also, don't try to compare the AMD and the Intell CPU speeds as they are not in the same...uhh, hmm..."format" is maybe what I want to say... sorry it's late and words are failing me. But they don't mean the same thing, like a 2.0GHz AMD may be a lot more powerfull than a 3.0GHz intell.
