I was playing and this came up, so I closed the game. But when I tried to restart it, it wouldn't connect to ArenaNet. It's just staying at 0%.
Is this normal..? And does it have to do with this "new build" thing?

(And no, it's not being blocked by a firewall. It's been working fine until now.)

Edit: Nevermind, things seem to be fine now.

Unfortunately for me, this new build = crash-o-rama, as in total system lockup.

Ah.. Well, right now I'm just waiting for the lightning bolt thing to go away, so hopefully I don't get the same thing when I start playing..

I'm having this problem... I've done everything I can to get it back up and working -_- This occured after doing the restart to get the new build

Mine worked fine, but its a big update (6.7mb) so uninstall, reinstall and -image for the most uptodate version with less crap left over

its been like 8 hours and it's still broken

it seemed like the new build was only 1 file then it trys to connect to anet and the error pops up.

I tried to reinstall...Wouldnt let me. I downloaded, but as it was installing it gave me the same error. I am administrator of my pc and I have over 200 gigs of free space on my hard drive...Emailing anet now.

In which format is your harddrive formated? FAT or NTFS? FAT has apperently a limit of 4 gig a file, which COULD block gw.dat from expanding...
