Default Vista 64 blue screens running Guild Wars

When running Guild Wars on my Vista 64 machine it will run for a few seconds and then the screen will freeze and the sound will stop. I can still move the mouse around. Ctrl-Alt-Del can give me the task manager to kill gw.exe but as soon as I do I get a BSOD that says PROCESS_HAS_LOCKED_PAGES. Guild Wars is the only game or app that has caused this error.

I have tried different drivers and tried running different graphics settings but I always get the blue screen. I have tried it in different parts of the world and I still get it. It has also done this just sitting on the log in screen. My drivers are all up to date. I have tried it both with sli enabled and without. This computer had Windows xp 32 on it for about a month and it was able to run Guild Wars just fine.

Intel Core 2 Duo 6700
4 gb g.skill ram
two evga 8800gtx in sli
x-fi platinum
evga 680i mb

Nothing is oc'd

Any ideas that I can try?

My hunch is it's driver related.

Your video card (nvidia) and your sound card (creative) has have poor software drivers for vista at the moment. Creative is still in "beta" in fact. I would be updating your drivers as soon as newer ones come out.

No, its your SLI set up, Nvidia still haven't done drivers and SLI rigs are known to cause issues like BSOD's (something that was thought to be a thing of the past in Vista...

Best thing to do: remove on of your 8800's and stay in single mode til they release new drivers...

nVidia really dropped the ball on their Vista driver support. SLI doesn't even work in the 32bit version, let alone 64.

I dont think that gw is supported by a 64 bit operating system yet.

I've already tried it with sli disabled. That didn't help.

I've seen a few posts on here about people running a similar setup as mine and they haven't had any problems. I'm curious as to what their secret is.
