Post BUG: Rollerbeetle race

Hello. i talked to Gaile in Kama: int 1 today. she directed me here.

There is a glitch in the rollerbeetle race.
the glitch centers on clipping/brushwork for either the beetle, or the racetrack.

this problem causes you to get stuck and be rubberbanded back.

the farthest i was taken back was from the finish line to the first corner. (yeah, i was choked.)

hopefully GW's usually excellent team can crawl all over this like a fat kid on smarties.

to avoid: keep clear of walls, and other beetles!

anyhoo,
Silph

edit: spell check.

I have had problems like this since the relase of Nightfall, and it sucks. ( and it does happen ALOT in the race )

If you type in /stuck it helps,

and I think its related to lag.

Ok, if it is a game bug, then why would Gaile direct you here?, we are a fansite and have access to correct game bugs/issues.

If this continues happening then you need to contact support and log a ticket.

rubber banding is usually related to lag, wether it be your hardware/ internet provider or the game servers.

Gailes said to post it on a fan forum, she checks them fairly regularly.

and i cant seem to get a ticket... none of my email adresses will work for some reason. they all say that they have allready been used, and i am supplying the wrong password.... but i have never put a ticked in.

and i do understand the concept of rubberbanding, and in this instance, its a e game server issue. ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew diddnt solve it, and my avarage latency in the race's is 76ms.

but thanks for the suggestions.

You have rubberbanding with a 76 ms latency, now imagine with my 500-700 ms latency

I rubberband with a 30 ping latency. Latency doesn't matter.

Yeah I have had the problem a lot since nightfall, I very rarely had it before then too. Very annoying. =\

Um... I better think that you should apply for the 'lost password'
thing to recover whetever your email is that you cant use as soon as you can. If you've never had sent in a ticket but you're getting the message that you have, then you should be worried

Default Rubberbanding

I have also had this problem since Nightfall, and it was especially bad during the beetle races....maddening. I have a nice fat internet connection and it happens when I have no latency issues. Sometimes it happens when I'm in town as well.

I've been directed to post issues around graphics at fansites by the support team (in email replies) before. I chalked it up to very lame support that doesn't take a look at a clearly known graphics issue. The one I reported was about the ritualist armor (no belly) if you are wearing ancient armor and not the anceint chest piece on a female. They tried to tell me it might be my graphics card in the same email lol. Be nice if the ANET team actually played the game more.
