Default Geforce 7300Gt card wont run guild wars..???

I just upgraded my old graphics card to a Geforce 7300Gt , installed latest drivers from nvidia and also tried ones on cd rom that came with the card but guild wars just will not start properly.
I get start up screen and then flashing cursor where i have to put my name and password in just freezes and then unfreezes and so on and so on.
I also have same thing with the log on music.
I have read that its something to do with directx 9 , but all my dxdiag tests are fine and no problems.
This is the second geforce 7300gt card ive tried i returned the other one thinking it was bad as exactly the same thing happened with it.
When i put my old geforce 5700 le card back in guild wars plays fine.
Any ideas why its doing this??

I'm guessing you uninstalled the old 5700's drivers before installing the new ones, yeah? I'm not a big hardware person but I think that is quite important..

no need, the 5700 and 7300 use the same driver set

Try another game, like Trackmania Nations ( Free, and uses Nvidia sponsoring, thus it should work on that ). If it doesn't, it's not GW's fault.

I'm sorry but that advice is total codswallop! It doesn't matter if a new graphics card can run on the existing driver set or not, a total uninstall/re-install of the drivers is basic good PC management when installing a new card.

Very true, however, they run on teh same driver set, although i must admit, i didn't take common sense into account (the lack of it) when i posted

Sorry for the misunderstanding and for proving how stupid people here truely are...

Well it seems theres definately a problem with these geforce 7300gt cards and guild wars, i have put my sons old 5700le back in his comp and it runs fine again on guild wars, i then put the new 7300gt into my pc which plays gw perfectly on my geforce 6800gt and i had the same problems immediately .
I also had an error message asking me if arenanet could receive the error report to which i said yes and sent it.
So ive had 2 geforce 7300gt cards installed into 2 seperate pcs that both run perfectly well on gw and thesae cards by different manufacturers both crash and freeze when starting the game, ive tried the old drivers and new fresh nvidia drivers, ive tried old archived drivers but none of them worked with the new card.
What is going on with geforce 7300Gt cards???
I forgot to mention that i played Day of Defeat on the new Geforce 7300Gt card and it played really well, fast and no problems.

I'm sorry, I really wish I could give you some grand insight on how I fixed this problem when I encountered it.
However, I installed my 7300gt and Guild Wars worked like a champ, never had any problems with this card.
