Default Screen freeze problems

A few days ago, I was playing Guild Wars and then, all of a sudden, the screen freezes and my computer didn't response to anything anymore. I couldn't move my mouse anymore, too. The only way to fix this was to turn off my computer. The real problem is that this is happening nearly every time I play Guild Wars for about 2 minutes-30 minutes now.

Somebody have a clue what is happening and how to avoid this freeze?

I'd check for spyware if I were you. I had a similar problem with GW freezing for 10-20 seconds then returning to normal.

Do a google for an app called HijackThis and post your log so someone can help you. If you haven't already get Spybot Search & Destroy and Adaware.

More bad things today, my computer stopped running at the Windows XP screen and the next time I tried to start my computer, some blue screen with a lot of information and the error: STOP: 0x00000008E etc etc, if you want to know this error exactly, I wrote it on some paper.

I am writing this from some other computer, somebody got a clue what is happening now? I don't think this is spyware.

I think you have a hardware problem (something dying?) or maybe your pc is full of dust??

This could be caused by a lot of things, from driver problems to failing hardware. Can you tell us which STOP error you're getting (PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, BAD_POOL_CALLER, IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, etc.) and which library is referenced in the message (should be an .EXE or a .DLL filename)? That would help a lot.
