Just cost me 3k because I'm soloing UW and because of the lag I'm jumping all over the place, rubber banding at random times. Not only that but enemys are next to me but because of the lag, they don't show as such. Really annoying.

I know exactly what you mean, running through Kaineng Center on English-1 is completely crazy. You can barely move ten feet, let along get to storage.

How odd. I was just going to make a thread saying "any news on the euro-lag problem" as the message on http://www.guildwars.com/support/networknews/ has been saying they'rw working on it for a while now...and I find this thread ready-made. Not that I've lost money but when you're trying to play PD mesmer in gvg....well, annoying is the least one could say.

I don't mind dieing s'long as it's something I've done to cause it, but to die because the server is lagging is really annoying. I know it's not real money, but when you've put time into earning it, and then lose it this way ...

That message is a waste of time, as mentioned it's been there for ages now with no update as to what's happening. Have they found the cause? Are they close to fixing it? Who knows. All I can do now is wait until the Euro servers are less busy, later tonight. I shouldn't have to do that tho.

wow +100k ping - 55k is the max I got the other day; every gvg I get err7 or err13 - and most of the time I don't even get a reconnect... it's friggin' (actually fu**ing but I must watch my language) ridiculous!

ive got it too, around 12pm i get random freezing, then from 5pm i get d/c from friends list and network errors for the rest of the night o.0

Its actually pretty cool if you play pve with hero-henches. You run into a mob and click your attack skill, it freezes everything, and two minutes later you can move again and your heroes have killed everyone. So all you need to do is pick up loot.

Oh, and avoid big towns. You'll take 5 minutes to move anywhere, and you'll actually just rubberband back again after you move. Places like kaineng and kamadan? Big no-no's. If you need to sell stuff to merchants, go to tyria and then the jungle, or port slade or such. Not so bad there.

Same with farming, the zones right next to popular towns, or zones used by primary quests and missions? You'll just get DCed. Go for the places not many go. The fire islands, some areas of the shiverpeaks, some of the RoT isn't bad either. Oh, and use heroes and henches. Players may lag, but the AI isn't. They'll kill things for you while you go make dinner. Trying to pve with real people? Take a build you'd use for solo farming. Some DC, and you got to be prepared for several of you're party to be lagged in most cases, so you're on your own, unless you're lagged too. And soloing the UW? Got to say you must have big, brass [email protected] to solo that with the lag. A few plats is nothing, the frustration of getting pawned by the first aataxe you meet? Over and over? Priceless.

Heroes weekend? Cool idea, but I'll see if I can actually play first. If it takes you longer getting DCed and having to log in again compared to the amount of time you actually play, it'll be better to not play at all during the weekend. Just log on at odd hours after the events are over. Performance is much better when fewer players are on. Course this rules out any pvp or gvg, but hey, with the lag you're just free fame anyway. Hmm, a US plot to steal favour from the euro's...

For me, the lag has always been there, but not to bad. But these last few days have been terrible, i mean, i cant move half the time im playing -_-. Hopefully they get around to fixing the problem, whatever it is, sometime.

The lag is pretty bad for me, but I can still play easily as I have a very new high speced computer. But I still get spikes now and then.

I haven't seen my ping monitor higher than orange since the Canthan New Year festival.
