Curse

i recently bought nightfall to complete my collection of guildwars &
when i made a character & loaded the first "map" it freezed but i could still move the cursor etc

never had this problem on factions or prophecies, can any1 help me

I'd restart the computer and try it again to see if it persists. If it does, try deleting the gw.tmp file and rerun the program. Note that by deleting that file you delete the temporary cache that GW uses to store the temp files it needs for the game to run, but it will redownload them as needed.

i did that and failed aswell ;<

this is exactly what happens:

i start GW, i login.
i choose my nightfall character & start
it loads up the first "map" and then goes to the intro movie
when i watch it completly or skip it loads the town
i c it for 0.1seconds and then it goes back to the loading screen.
and i can move my mouse & hear the sounds. but no visuals.

Hmm...Try uninstalling GW, restarting, and reinstalling the client.

Have you been having any problems with any other games/programs?
