Default Account Troubles

Ok, a while back I bought guild wars factions (the special edition) and made my account. After a while I stopped playing for around a year. Now, when I try to log back into my account, it says that the email adress that I am trying to log into is wrong. I know that it is right. Also, when I first played it said "Guild Wars Factions" at the log-in page. Now it says "Guild Wars Nightfall".

Can someone please help me? I REALLY want to play this awesome game!

Gather up your proofs of purchase/ownership (keycode, box and/or contents, etc.) and contact PlayNC.com support to straighten out your login.

As for the login screen, ArenaNet changed that when Nightfall came out. You are seeing the same screen we all see.

Having a similar problem.

Bought Guild Wars back in 2005, signed up for a Master Account and applied the GW access key.

Anyway stopped playing shortly after as my World of Warcraft addiction hit the big time.

Have quit WoW after over two years playing and wanted to try GW again. Couldn't for the life of me recall what my master account name was Any normal website would allow you to retrieve your account name, but noooo, not in this case. I've had to contact support via e-mail and its a long process All I want to do is play GW again lol

So far I've been asked to respond with:

• A scan or a digital picture of your Guild Wars access key (copy of the original)
• A scan or a digital picture of your proof of purchase, if still available
• A scan or a digital picture of your City of Heroes access key (copy of the original)
• A scan or a digital picture of your proof of purchase, if still available
• What first and last name did you use when you created the account?
• What physical address did you use when you created the account?
• What birth date did you use when you created the account?
• What are the 20 digit codes for all games you added to the account?
• What is the Unique Account ID for the Game Account you are referring to? (This was sent to you via email on the date your game account was activated, with a subject header of “Game Account Activated.”)
• What are the last 4 digits of the credit card most recently used?

Obviously after two years I no longer have till receipts for the game and I've since moved house and to top it off, changed ISP so have a new e-mail address!

Didn't think it would be this hard

The link I supplied will show a phone number, but they will probably tell you to submit the problem on-line.

The reason for their proof requests has to do with ArenaNet not allowing transfer of ownership of registered GW games. When someone buys a used access key, they obviously don't have any of the required proofs of ownership.

They are aware that e-mail accounts are closed over time and that people don't keep receipts or game boxes, but supplying them with most of what they request will help them make a decision.

Mine is still ongoing. My last e-mail to them supplying photos was this afternoon, and I think they'd all gone home for the weekend, so looks like I won't get any GW gaming in till early next week Unless they work Sundays, but I highly doubt it.
