I just got back into Guild Wars, and after installing it on my new computer, started to experience some sound issues. I've been away from the game for almost a year, so I'm not sure if the sound updates I keep hearing about are the cause or not. Whenever I run the game, the background music is extremely choppy. If I dont move my character, the music is perfect, but as soon as I move or talk to somebody about a quest, the background music gets all choppy and distorted. I have a Creative SB X-Fi sound card, so I don't think that is the issue. Any ideas?

yea im having the same problem to, ever since that new patch that expanded the storage thing, my sound is all glitchy and stuff but only outside outposts and in the mists of combat its all laggy distorted. i have a sound blaster live which is ok but i really dont think its the card bc it was perfect b4 that new patch hmmmmm......

hum... same here... are you running Vista? I am. On my brother's Dell Laptop it's fine and on my Desktop it cuts out after a min or so of the game running.

i'm going to say it's the GW update because this has happened before and after a new patch it correct's Guild Wars sound.

Well after downloading that update all my other games sound has stoped working.

yup... I don't have a computer with XP to test it on for a cross reference, but I didn't have this problem on my last desktop that had XP... but then again that was before this sound update.
