The Bug: Can not log in after switching guilds before leaving previous Guild Hall.

A friend of mine joined a new guild -one without a guild hall- he had a an invite to his old guilds hall, he went to the old GH and logged out whilst still in there. After this he was unable to login with that character as GWs was convinced he was in the nonexistant GH of his new guild! Anet's Tech support btw said that it was due to connection problems with his ISP -Hahahaha just shows what they know

- This went on for 3 days until we found a solution for him. This was for him to leave his new guild temporarily and join mine -at first this didn't work, he still couldn't login- after 15 mins he was able to log in again, all he now has to do is make sure to leave our guild hall before he logs out after he rejoins his new guild.

Hope this can help some of you who are having this problem.

As an added note, in my history of bouncing between Guilds, I have never had such a problem. Unless more people report this sort of bug, I think it's safe to call it a fluke, or a ghost.

This bug happened to me, and 3 times.

I left my guild and couldn't log my assassin that was still in my old guild's guild hall. I went to Anet tech support, they blamed my connection, we did every possible test to fix it. To no avail. They "gave up" and sent the problem to their developers. They could not say when or if the problem would be fixed.

I decided to join my old guild back, and I could log my assasin and manually click on "leave guild hall". Problem solved. I sent a report to Anet tech support guys about this.

Few days after, I joined a guild which had no guild hall. I logged off 2 of my characters into one of our alliance's guild hall and I couldn't log them back in. I reported this to Anet Tech Support team, and this time, they said they were aware of the issue, but had no idea if/when it will be fixed. 3 days laters, I could log my characters back in game.

Same thing happened few days after to someone else in my guild with one of his char. He reported it to Anet tech support team. I think the problem was solved by itself within the day. He wanted to try again and see if this would happen every time he would log his character into an alliance's guild hall and the second time, nothing happened.
