Well, like I said, Vista is only part of the problem. Take a look at the benches I posted above. The desktop version of that video chipset along with a faster processor under XP probably wouldn't get more than 3-6 fps more than what he's getting now. It would be an improvement, but they still wouldn't be ideal framerates. I hate to say it, but the ATI XPress 1150 just isn't designed for gamers.

Is your laptop overheating? There are a few pretty powerful games that always ran very slowly on my laptop until I got a laptop fan..the thing makes a world of difference.

after looking at the benchmarks a little more i think it should be more then he is getting with the settings at the bare min and at 800x 600 maybe still unplayable .. but if he is in classic theme of windows, gw is at bare min graphic settings and at that resolution should be able to get more then the fps he is getting i would have guessed around 22-25ish because i have had guild wars playable(i use that loosely) on a HP NX 9010.

there gonna get more in and i can swap lol may be able to even get me an alienware one so im not to worried now, but thanxs for the help though.
