Default Random Path Issues.

Ok, so i was showing my friend GW, and closed out of the game when he had to leave. After he left, i opened the game and there was an update. After it seemed to install, i get a message that basically says "Cannot install patch, please check if you have admin rights and if the path is available" (picture attached). I think "thats strange, its never done this before." so i restarted my computer. Nothing changed, and i got the same message. I tried putting in different disks, not loading with Xfire, basically everything i could think of, but nothing would change and i would always get the same message. I finally un-install the game and re-install it to a different path (C:\Guild Wars). Its been working fine, until today's new build i left the game, and IT HAPPENED ALL OVER AGAIN . I had contacted costumer support after the first time and they said to make sure my firewall wasn't blocking it (which is wasn't). So what i want to know is, What is causing this, and how do i fix it.

Computer Specs:
2gigs of Ram
ATI X1300 Pro
Windows XP Pro 32bit
3.0 ghz dual core processer

Ok I have seen others with this same problem. I am unsure of what causes it but the fix seems to uninstall GW completely(save youe screenshot folder) removing every trace of gGW from your system. Then reinstalling it. I personaly have not had this problem yet (thank the gaming gods) so it may be a random issue with certian computer and OS configurations.

Thanks for the help ! Although i hate to un-install GW again, if its the only way its the only way.

Unless other people know more on the situation, otherwise, thanks a lot !

Are you using spybots S&D with teatimer.exe. teatimer sometimes prevents GW from updating, just close teatimer from the taskmanager or exit spybots from your start bar if you have a quick launch icon there. Nortron's firewalls can also be somewhat unfriendly when it comes to GW.
