Default Does this seem right to you?

Nvidia 8600 256mbs Superclocked
5.6 Ghzs Pentium D 920
2Gbs of Ram

50-60 Fps outside
15 in La dis 1?

any ideas on how to make this faster cause i can run BF2142 all maxed at 70fps

ohh yah and i just put in the new graphics card and installed all the drivers and stuff the cd came with i cannot open Nvidia Control Panel for it and i've even tried forceware and that still did nothing the Nvidia Control panel will not open
Anyone have an ideas on what i could do?

Is V-Sync (Wait for Vertical Sync) turned on under the F11 > Graphics options? If so, turn it off!

yah i just turned it off but it didnt make much of a difference in the FPS

and i still dunno what to do about my Nvidia Control Panel

I'm sorry, but you're going to have to post more info than that. Post your dxdiag report and see if anything stands out.

Although have you tried throttling back that CPU? 5.6GHz is slightly past the stable operating speed, even with water cooling that's pushing the boundaries.

It's probably not overclocked. 5.6 GHz is 2.8 x 2... I've seen some retailers advertise a dual-core CPU with twice the clock speed just cuz it has two cores. Deceptive advertising ftw..

Did you remove all of the old drivers completely when you installed the new GPU, and installed the new drivers? I'm scared to ask what the PSU is.
