Default Nightfall Graphics Errors

Hi guys,

No doubt someone might've come on here explaining this before, but I guess now its my turn.

As of Wehhan (I think thats the spelling oO ) Terraces, I get graphical errors that occur whenever I port from that outpost outside. I cannot port to other outposts, and recently I found I cant even load my warrior there now; it simply says the error before I see the outpost. This in nightfall is basically a checkmate, since I cant carry on without leaving the portal to the Forum highlands.

This also occurs at Honur Hill, where my ele encountered the same problem.

My friend told me this was fixed, and I attempted Honur again, being allowed in this time, I progressed.

But now I want to take my warrior through, hes stuck with this graphics error again. Everything works smoothly , theres no 'lack' so to speak, of graphics when I play.

Does anyone else have this problem, and could I get any advice?

Thanks

~Trinin

What do you mean by a graphics error? Can you be more specific?

Yeah, either -repair or get a new Gw.dat file by deleting your old one and downloading a new one either using -image or your CDs to get the basic file and then -image.

I'm not quite sure how I would go about repairing this, and I downloaded the client online (Bought the key online) so again, I'm unsure how I would do this, could you please give me some detail as to how I would do that?

As for the details on the bug, when loading a new area (for this example, Forum highlands) I get the 0 files remaining, 100% loaded etc.. but the screen stays on that picture, it won't actually 'load' me into the game. When I then Alt + Tab to see other available windows on my computer, there is a small white window (outside of guild wars - seperate window) saying that Guild Wars has experienced a graphics error and needs to terminate, to resolve this go to the website - I looked on the website and it mentions video cards and what not, but I don't feel thats the solution, because everything else in the game works smoothly and very well.

Any ideas?

What is your pc spec, graphic card etc? Some certain older graphic cards or on board cards cannot render and display correctly, in a certain part of NF.

Certain areas of NF are inaccessible to a range of video cards, I researched it on guildwiki and found a link to this forum with a 3D rendering software that I've modified - I can now play the game fine

Thanks for your help guys, ill be sure to recommend you all if myself or friends have problems

This can be closed now.

Care to post the information that helped you resolve your issue? As others who have a similar issue may find it beneficial to find the answer or a pointer in the right direction.

Of course. Anyone who experiences this graphics error within NF, search for 'Yatendi Canyons' on Guildwiki, which will give a link in the notes section at the bottom - Directing you to a thread on Guru (I would link it now, but I can't remember the link right now. If anyone wants it, I'll find it )

After looking on that thread, you can download the thing I used, and instructions are available with what options to enable etc.

Any questions, please PM me
