On your wireless settings, try switching it from "b and g" to "auto 108Mbps". Also, try a different channel, like channel 10 and see if that helps.

G and B are wireless adapter versions, B having less bandwidth capabilities of G. But changing it to auto 108Mbps could resolve some issues with your USB adapter. Channel 11 is a commonly used channel from what it looks like, so switching it to 10 could resolve some interference.

You might want to try uninstalling guild wars off your computer and reinstalling it also...

I would try it on channel 6 then first, see if it resolves anything. Just remember to click apply after changing it to auto 108Mbps and channel 6.

Well, then it's completely down to your router, as to what's blocking you from playing guild wars. What is the model number of your router and USB adapter?

For your wireless adapter go ahead and download this updated driver and install it on your computer.

ftp://downloads.netgear.com/files/wg111t_1_3_setup.exe

Now, what is the wireless router's model number? The thing you're connecting to downstairs, what's the name and model number of it?

Yes, it's to update your USB adapter's driver to the most current one.
