I honestly don't really know alot about this kind of computer stuff.. so can someone help me out? idk if GW will run on my comp..

The graphics controller may cause you problems, but try GW's out.

If you have an AGP slot in your computer, you should really upgrade to a real graphics card, get a dirt cheap one like a nvidea 5600 or something, should set you back like $50/£25. If you dont have an AGP slot then you would need to search for a PCI slot graphics card of the same kind, its a little slower but still alot better than the onboard controller you have atm.

Other than that, dont buy anything else, just buy a whole new system.

If you have to ask if it will run - it probably wont.

the onboard gfx will be the major bottleneck. you can go into a shop and buy any gfx card at random, it will be better than what you have.

okay well I'm just gonna forget about upgrading/getting a new comp. :3 GW is just a game anyway. thanks for the help anyway.

Why not try it out? Download the client from www.guildwars.com, install it, and have a look at the login screen. You will of course not be able to actually log in to the game without an account, but you can get a rough estimate on if/how well the game will run as the login screen uses the ingame graphics engine.

I do not know about your particular model, but I do know that some integraded intel graphics chips are very well capable of running GW at an acceptable quality. One other thing you may want to invest in, though, is more RAM. 512 MB may be enough, but 1 GB is better.

Edit2: Wow, I just saw your other thread (double posting ftl ;P)... give him a break, people! That computer is not complete crap. I've run GW on a 1GHs Athlon with 396 MB and a GeForce 3! It is slow like hell, looks like crap, but it does run! I agree that the integrated graphics chip will most likely be a serious problem, but please don't disregard something just because it isn't state of the art, k?

GF3s especially the Ti500 and Ti250s were rather respectable cards, which could easily outperform a GF4MX 460.

but yeah, just DL the client, have a go, but, that integrated gfx is going to be THE major problem.

I got graphics card of 32MB, and still doing fine. Though I may be hit by massive lag if I'm in Kaieng Center or Lion Arch.

For the record, the amound of RAM on your graphics card tells just a little about how powerful it is. It's mostly the GPU that indicates what kind of pixel pushing power it's got. There are 64MB cards out there with GPUs that blow away those on some 256MB cards. Video RAM just doesn't tell the tale.
