Default possible memory leak in new build?

After I downloaded the newest build of GW, I am having serious issues running other programs alongside GW. For example, I used to play ITunes all the time while in GW, with no problem (and a lot of times I had Dreamweaver and Photoshop open in the background as well).

Now, if I play music from Itunes while in GW, the music hardly plays and is extremely choppy.

Anyone else noticing anything of the like?

A bit off topic, but why would you need photoshop and/or dreamweaver open as well since you should be PLAYING the game...

On topic, I do not have this problem.

my point was that it wasn't a problem with my computer's memory or some issue where I didn't meet sys spects because in the past I had opened Guild Wars right on top of whatever I was working on with no issues.

Sometimes GW becomes choppy in the background when I have an internet page up, it get's annoying but I think I've had this problem for awhile now.

I've noticed this as well, but it was with the 7/17 build. It has become very difficult to run anything else. I've been using a 1.6 dual core with 1GB RAM, and it was enough that I could have photoshop open in the background as well without a problem. What I noticed in the resource meters is GW going up to 400MB at times, about 100MB more than before the update but which I figured was caused by it. And about another 200-400MB being used up without it showing any additional resources (by that I mean if I ballpark all my running resources, those 2-400 are unaccounted for). And once I close GW, the resource for GW will stay for about 5 minutes more, still running at about 400MB.

I think it's gone direct nine heavy. They also said they were beefing up the graphics engine for GWEN, so perhaps they've done it already and that's what's causing the large usage numbers.

Choppy sound is more likely something eating CPU cycles than memory. Besides, memory leaks are really uncommon as they're usually caught when the devs unit test their code. Not only that, but if it were a memory leak you wouldn't recover the resources just by exiting the game.

I haven't noticed any increases in resource usage, but I'll keep an eye on it now...
