ok, so I buy the game and go to install but cant, b/c I go to the screen that says "Connecting to ArenaNet" and the bar goes to the top and stops and doesnt move again, I have had the Guild Wars support people look into and have done a bunch of stuff to my computer that they asked me to do, but am wondering, do I have to be on the guild wars web site to play it, or just online, and I have parental blocks on my screen name, would this effect if it would connect or not? What is your oppinion?

Really, if you have already made a similar thread, just keep the discussion in that one instead of making a new one. It keeps the place less cluttered.

I assume you followed the link I gave you, and talked to support?

If you have parental blocks, that could very well do that if guildwars isnt "allowed". You dont have to be on the GW website, but you definitely need access to the internet. I know if you go to a place where you have to pay to get on the net, like at some airports, guildwars wil do the "just connecting" thing. It has something to do with being able to see a conection but not able to use it, i believe

so it is my connection then? I use a modem...or whatever you call it, you know that little box with flashing lights on it, could it have something to do with a cable or something, or should I have a professional come out and see if he/she can fix it?
