Default random lag spikes the last couple weeks?

Me and several of my friends and guildmates have been experiencing random extreme lag spikes the last couple weeks. At first I thought it was myself only but on vent in HA or TA sometimes 2-3 of us will just get disconnected or severely lagged (10k-50k ping), and frequently I hear of people in HvH complaining that they just lag out every 10 minutes or so while their opponent appears to be perfectly fine. I experienced this myself a few times....once I got disconnected when the timer was at "beginning in 0:00" only to relog in and find myself completly outcapped by the my opponent who had been fine. And its been the other way at times for me as well. One time I had 55k ping after being frozen for a long long time and then it seemed like the game was unable to sync properly and I just watched my guy walk around randomly in HvH for the rest of the match (which I won due to split capping anyway since I got lucky enough to be lagged out wandering near the center...but hey thats the sad meta that is HA).

I dont even think anet is aware of this issue because I've read nothing on it, but it is happening to enough people that it is unlikely it is something on my end.

Has anyone else been experiencing this? From certain hours mostly from 9pm - 2 am eastern time the more dangerous places like uw or any sort of pvp is basically unplayable since every 5-10 minutes you get disconnected.

In my last FoW group 2 ppl disconnected... and they we're complaining about lag the whole time. In guild chat people we're talking about lag spikes, and our whole FFF group got d/c as we we're exiting..

The whole opposing team in AB took 40 seconds longer to un freeze so we won by a large margin.

I however haven't had any lag at all.. its seems only certain people (mostly in the US) are having lag problems.

Yeah I experienced that part...only certain people, maybe in certain areas, are getting this. We were in HA and me and one other guy said "uh oh game froze" and everyone else went on like nothing had happened. Same thing in TA...2 of us lagged out, the other 2 had no problems...but the wierd thign about that was the people I was with in TA were my RL friends and we have the same ISP.

I do not have a history of this sort of thing...I didnt experience any problems before, not even during the last festival weekend...ping was in the 300s but not really any trouble. Its only the last couple weeks that it showed up but man is it annoying.

Having lag spikes all night long. It started arond 5pm EST with lag spikes and 1 disconnect. Logged back on later, some lag spikes. Then I tried to AB, 3 games, 3-5 minute lag spikes in each with the last one totally unplayable, disconnected 2 times code 21. That was around 1-2am.

Before this year began GW was running very smoothly for me but starting sometime between January and February I've been getting lag spikes off and on. Disconnections occur less frequently. I know it's not on my end either as I have no problems doing everything single thing other than GW with no lag. Going by other people in my team or guildmates who aren't in my city, state, or country it's happening to them too.

I have recently been getting some lag spikes but it has been to do with my ISP. I'm with tiscali if that helps?

Me and a few guildies have also been getting these lag spikes for 3-4 weeks now. Some stopped playing altogether until it's fixed.

same here, been disconnected about 6 times the last few days. And when i don't disconnect I'm rubber banding all over the place. There are a few people in my guild who can't even log on because the lag is so bad for them.

Me and a guildmate of mine have identical lag spikes and disconnects at the exact same time. I live in NYC and he lives in Florida, east coast server problem?

I was in the Dragon's Lair missions last night, when I starting getting huge ping (up to 70k). Except for DC, i was able to watch everyone run the mission, and I could run with them, but while i could watch them fight, none of my actions would register, even though I was watching it all as it happened as if there were no lag whatsoever.

I was doing a quest in SF that lagged out. I then went to do a mission in HM, where I lagged out. It was between 8-9 PM EST. I gave up and logged off.

I have been getting this exact same thing during gvg. Its impossible to tell when the lag stops because the game is still going.

Honestly its a direct result of no monthly subscription. You get what you pay for. Servers have been this way for a very long time. Last time I quit was because it was so bad I couldn't get over an 8 fps.

GW doesn't have any real incentive to keep the game running good. If you don't want to pay a monthly fee no other game has pvp as good as GW so you're stuck.
