Angry 3 Weeks of GW Hell- Please Help

Hey...I've been having huge problems with GW the last 3 weeks, mainly in the areas of lagging and err7s. I've looked at the other threads, but idk, my situation seems a little different. My internet broke down 3 weeks ago, completely. The cable guy had to come, he installed a new modem for us. Thats when the main problem started. I cannot play GW for more than 10 minutes without massive lag spikes ranging from 50,000 ping to up over 100,000. My comp itself exceeds all of GW's reqs.

Sooo...today, the cable guy came again (we have high speed cable internet) and this time, he installed all new cable wires, took off some old internet adapter that might cause interference, and more. I thought my problems would be fixed. I was wrong.

GW still is not working correctly, doing same things as b4. The cable guy tested the connection multiple times b4 he left and the speed of the connection was great, no problems. The internet itself also works fine.

However, not only does GW not work on this comp, it doesnt work on my even better comp, neither through wireless or wired connections. I hear GW is having issues with err7s but i dont see anyone with near problems i have atm (100,000 ping i havent seen many complaints about), nor for the time i have been having them.

Does anyone have any ideas about what i could do to get GW running again? I would greatly appreciate any help given.

if youre using a router, plug yourself straight into the modem and try...if youre still having a problem its either some change you made to your computer 3 weeks ago, or an ISP issue....but I'm suspecting either your router is shaping traffic, or you have software issues on your comp

I think at this stage you should contact GW support. They'll get you to do all the trace-routing and such that will narrow down your issue.

I've been having the same problem for the past few weeks. I know a lot of other people as well having this problem. They will lag only in Guild Wars but nothing else. I think it's a problem with the Guild Wars server.
